The Monday Catch-up

So, the rest of Saturday wasn't much to blog about, with the exception of Meet The Robinsons. And well, Saturday was a fun day, but ya know, you can't just blog about something that's fun only to you and a select few all the time without boring your audiences out eh?

Sunday was spent, in large part as being a geek. Refurbished the blog design, since the old pink/purple one was just so ugh-inducing after a week.

And no, there was no carefully thought-out evil conspiracy to get you eating waffles. The reason why I chose the background was a totally unglamorous reason of - that's the only photo I have that's easily made into a low-contrast background.

Having a brown theme ain't too bad. Brown's the new black! Or at least, that's what Microsoft thinks.

Animal Crossing's one of the older DS games, often clasified as a 'Virtual Life' game. While it doesn't share any of the similarities with The Sims, it essentially is based on being in a town, working for your keep, just getting around and finding out cool little things about the game and its characters.

Sounds boring eh? But what makes it so damned cool is that you can use it to connect to other towns via the Internet, so as long as you have the friend's Friend Code and he's online. And with that, alot of cool strategies come into play, such as picking fruits off the friend's town. (Different towns have different native fruits, and foreign fruits command a very high price.)

Spent the whole night (late into the night) going on GameAxis forums trying to get someone to onnect to, and finally managed to have a quick chat with a fellow gamer and pick the peaches from her town for a tidy profit at midnight yay!

Cool stuff. I'm addicted to it.

Monday. Woke up. Played a little Animal Crossing lying on my bed before heading to school again.

Dreary lectures. Decided to bring my lappy to do my case write-up early since I know I'm not going to learn from those palliative care lectures anyway. Truth be told, the lectures just taught me things I had already known from experience. Knowing relatives who fade away in the clutches of terminal illness is more than enough education for me in that aspect.

And here I'm at Vivocity.
